Executive Summary, Strategic Plan 2024-2029

The M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology Distance Learning Program at 新澳门六合彩开奖结果 plans the following strategic initiatives for the first year of the SLP Program, as referenced in the five-year Strategic Plan (2024-2029):

  1. Apply for Accreditation:聽 The Program submitted their Application for Candidacy to the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA) in June 2024.

  2. Establish Foundations for Program Governance:聽 The Program will work with the University to establish program policies and procedures; write and approve program manuals (SLP Program Manual; SLP Clinical Education Manual); and recruit and hire a Director of Clinical Education.聽

    • Status:聽 Initiated
  3. Develop and Publish Curriculum:聽 The Program has been approved as an eight- semester, 86-hour program of study, with courses that cover the full scope of SLP practice.聽 The program is designed for delivery over three (3) years.聽 Faculty will create learning experiences that produce transformative, culturally informed and socially responsible speech-language pathologists.聽

  4. Student Recruitment:聽 The Program will work with the University to develop a Program website that will launch in the Summer of 2024.聽 The Program will enroll in the centralized application service for communication disorders and sciences programs (CSDCAS) to be ready for student enrollment for the 2025-26 academic year.

  5. Faculty.聽 The Program will work with Human Resources to recruit a Professor of Practice / Director of Clinical Education by Fall 2025.聽 Searches will also be planned for one additional full-time faculty to be hired in FY26, and one in FY27.

    • Status:聽 Initiated
  6. Program Resources.聽 The Program will work with the University to make sure that sufficient classroom space, a clinical library, and faculty offices are available for delivery of the degree program.聽 The Program Director will coordinate with the Office of Technology to ensure that appropriate digital infrastructure is in place for program delivery. Program materials will be ordered beginning in Fall 2024.
